Ice cave 2160 masl

At the top is Obla Glava, one of the many peaks of Durmitor, and the Ice Cave (2160 m above sea level). From the entrance, a steep plane 40 m long, mostly covered with snow, reaches the ice-bound cave floor. Descent is done by digging in the feet or with the help of ropes. At the bottom of the cave, numerous ice pillars of different dimensions and shapes emerged, an incredible play of nature, from tiny to several meters high.

Durmitor is beautiful at any time of the year, and the ice cave where winter never ends, the ice stalactites and stalagmites throughout the year inspire the admiration of all those who enter this ice kingdom.

This natural phenomenon is an inevitable stop for anyone who wants to investigate the secrets of one of the most beautiful mountains of Montenegro, a place where you will, for a moment, remain outside of time and space, surrounded by the beauty of Durmitor and the Ice Cave.
